ACBS Chapter Meeting: ACT-Guided Supervision
Kathy Palm, PhD will be presenting on supervision and training of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Accumulating evidence supports the efficacy of ACT for numerous forms of human suffering. Yet, there is limited discussion on effective strategies for providing effective supervision and training of ACT. This presentation will include dialogue and experiential exercises focused on a number of training issues, including introducing the theoretical model to new trainees, leaning into discomfort, values-informed supervision, and the supervisor-trainee relationship.
